Safety and security

Safety and security

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is partnering with state and commonwealth security agencies, the Office of Commonwealth Games Coordination (OCGC) and the Gold Coast Organising Corporation (GOLDOC) to plan and deliver the security and public safety response for the Games.

The QPS will ensure an enhanced protective environment to minimise disruption to this sporting event and promote a safe and secure enjoyment of the Games for athletes, participants, spectators and the Queensland community.

Working with our partners we will deliver an integrated security operation that ensures a safe and secure environment to host a successful Commonwealth Games and related events.
