Some local bus services will be enhanced (including improved frequency and/or hours of operations) to cater for increased travel demand during GC2018.We’re currently working with the local operators to finalise service changes for Cairns. Further information will be available closer to GC2018.

Free public transport will be available for ticketed spectators and accredited workforce travelling to and from competition events in Cairns on TransLink bus services. Spectators will be required to present a valid GC2018 ticket for the day of travel.

Walking and cycling is a great way to get around anytime and particularly during the Games. If walking or cycling would take less than 45 minutes, consider these options if you can as it may be quicker than driving.
